Ok so I've been AWOL from most of my online adventures. My darn laptop being down sucks. I lost my whole itunes library, all my old fan fictions that I someday wanted to finish, my resume and cover letter, some pictures from my trip to Seattle (Trav thinks we saved those to a disc). It just plain sucks. Then add to that headaches for almost the entire month of October. It doesn't help that I'm just annoyed tonight. It seems that everytime I come to work all I hear is bitch, bitch, bitch. Ugh, can't we all just get along or do we have to fiddle with the deflector dish thingy to make us all a happy little bunch :D

That said, I applied for a new job. It would be part-time to start and there isn't a position open, but one of the officers I know told me to apply to work at dispatch. I'm a little excited about it. I'd learn how to take 911 calls. As another officer jokes, tell them to crush the pills so they absorb faster. Sorry sick joke, but when you see this crap all the time you kind of start to roll your eyes a little. I even spent some time listening to 911 calls online and OMG people, you don' call 911 to crab about the traffic! Oh and if you can't swin, don't go out in boat with no life jackets. It's sad these people are allowed to breed! Ok, I need to shut up. I'm tired and sarcastic. Tension is big here tonight because some shit hit the fan upstairs for the nursing crew. That just makes the headache so much better. Anyone got a hammer? :D

Ok so for some fun. I finally got some pics to share if you want to view them. I discovred shutterfly and I love it. Free. Unlimited. I liked Flickr, but you can only upload 100 mb/month and with a high def camera that sucks. So here are some pic taken at the Minnesota Renaissance Festival of Trav and me. I'm the geek in the purple velvet dress and Trav is in the armor (that he made from scratch). It was such a fun day. I so remember this little girl giving me little presents because she thought I was a real lady or a princess. She was so cute.

So enjoy: Renaissance Festival

ha ha, oh my fellow gamer you so make me laugh...and I feel better knowing that I'm not the only gamer that has damaged a computer in some way shape or form from getting irked. The side of my Vaio has a crack in it from me whacking it. When the hard drive died in that one, I took out the hard drive and had a blast mutilating it with various tools. Our friend Greg is terrible with controllers. We hide our really nice ones when he comes over (the expensive rechargable ones). On a side note there is a new game called Hellgate London that is looking pretty good.

As for the itunes back up. Well I looked really quick online and it seems that you have to back it up to disc. I was like huh? I put this crap on my compy so I don't have to have all these discs floating around my house. I don't know 100% for sure on that yet. It wouldn't be an issue, BUT when I went to Boston we took my itunes stuff off and ipod and I put trav's itunes library on it (he had the movies). So frick. I could have gotten the program for ilounge to get my library off my ipod. Oh well. I was more irked at losing all my silly fan fics and my resume.

And yes, I do get migraines. It sucks. Your head hurts for days on end to the point where you are at your wits end and desperate for anything to feel better. I can't think for squat when I have one and reading is hard to do. I feel pretty good now. I went to my chiropractor and that has helped so far.

Glad you liked the ren fest. I love it there. I re-colored my hair right before so it was really red. I am indeed in line for my own set of armor. I told Trav he has to wait until I lose more weight. I want to look hot LOL. It was fun doing his. I had to used duct tape and tape him all over to make a dummy for size. (You put on an old shirt, duct tape it to form and then cut off the shirt and tape.)

IT guys never break anything didn't you know that? heh, whatever! Gaming on the company compy, most excellent :D

Yes, I have gone to the Dr. about my headaches. The headache didn't get so bad until a few days ago to where I was actually thinking about going to get my prescription refilled for Maxalt. I had been living on excedrin and motrin. For me the chiropractor helped a lot. My shoulder and neck have issues sometimes and getting adjusted helps me. It could also be the change of the season here. idk. My headaches were horrible when I lived in Portland and we later discovered that black mold was a trigger for me. I get a little freaky about water/mold now.

It's so nice that I can actually think straight today. I can kinda form thoughts too. Wow. LOL

Dude. Broken lappy totally sucks :( Did you ever send me the half finished fanfics? Maybe I can email them back to you if you did??

New job huh? I think you'd be good as dispatch :D Would that mean less graveyard shifts? When do you hear if you'll get the job or not?

How's school going? You're done your midterms now right?

And you and Trav looked frickin awesome in those pictures. God, you guys are gorgeous!!! Loved the handmade armor (serious props to Trav for making it!) and you look so stunning in that dress!! Awesome! Your red hair was hot!!!

Hope you're having a better afternoon :D

ah, why thanks! Trav looked good that day. He normally wears glasses and for the ren fest he always puts in contacts. I just love his blue eyes.

I really hope I can get the new job. To be honest, the job I have now is so brainless I'm ready to die. I need more of a challnege and I like it when all hell breaks loose at the hospital. If I do get that job, I may be doing overnights too. I guess it pays WAY better than what I have now. It's a gov't job with good benefits. We actually need the money if I'm every going to do the nursing school thing. Sucky thing is I have to start part time to get my foot in the door and there isn't technically a position open as of right now. I'll just have to wait and see. I want to keep my options open. Working part time as a dispatcher would be better pay than working part time at the hospital. Oh, I am on the waiting list for 2010 for school. I can only take one more class before hand, the rest is all nursing classes that have to wait until I'm in the program. It kinda sucks, but it gives us the chance to put more into savings before my life goes really chaotic.

Oh btw my hair is not so red anymore. Time for more dye here soon. heh.

That sucks out loud about your laptop. I hope you're feeling better soon and that you get that job you applied for (though some of the calls! People are crazy).

The pictures are gorgeous!

(And your user pic still says, "Rough lay at the office", to me. :D )

Rough lay. Umm, you wish? If you had to choose: Dean or Mal. Oh now that is the question.

Oh, Mal, for sure. But I wouldn't toss Dean out of bed neither. :D

Ooh, you went to the MN Ren Faire? Haha. I totally recognized stuff from those pictures. Like that dirty beggar in the street? The one who bangs his head with a pan? I got paid a gold coin for calling him a dirty bastard with snot hanging from his nose. LOL. So totally worth it!

I so love the ren fest! I love the beggar guy. The kids were thowing the pickles at him. He makes a ton of money doing that. Give him a five someday. He rolls over the blows the horn from his butt. I also love the tortuga twins. "The liver is evil and must be punished" heh.

If you ever go down we should meet down there (so safe and secure spot). Trav and I and our friends try to go down there a lot, but we live over an hour away and a weekend at the ren fest means getting a dog sitter for the night heh. I would hate to manage three dogs down there. And when you have pugs down there, you get swarmed with OMG can I pet your dog. LOL

We should! Sounds like fun.

Hehe. We could never bring my dog anywhere near there... she's a barker. LOL.

yeah, our blind dog would go bonkers. She loves people and would have to sniff everything. We have taken our pugs down, but it got annoying since everyone flocked to them. They enjoyed all the love that's for sure. Spoiled rotten brats!

Sounds like a typical night at St Croix! GET OUT NOW WHILE YOU CAN! LOL! You would be so awesome at the Dispatcher job, and I think you would like it. It is probably way overdue for a change for you. And at least maybe get off the night shift at the hospital. Seems like night shifters tend to bitch the most....maybe it's that lack of sleep thing. Anyways, hope all else is good with you. Sorry to hear about your laptop. :( Oh yeah....and your really red hair in the pics looks great!

I need a change. It gets so boring sitting in my little room up front. Sad thing is I need to stay on nights for the shift differential. Ugh! It's actually more of the reg department that gripes. Good ol' ambulance girl (you know the one I love so much) needs a lobotomy for real. Nobody can ever do anything right in her litle world. I still remember the day she was freaking out about an pre-cert for an mri and was ranting that it would not be covered since the person had one recently. I took one look and was like you fricking idiot I told her that she has cancer of the bone in her leg (had to translate to retard). She didn't talk to me the rest of the morning.

Anywhoo I like the guys that work overnight dispatch. They are funny to prank with. I think I'm going to be the bringer of evil and say "enough with the constant complaining" in our next meeting heh, I'm sure that will fly like a shit-covered brick.

How's life in the greener pastures?
