More about me meme...

I know I'm a little late in doing this one, but hey I've go my mom and grandma coming in on Friday so housework comes first :D Just imagine me running around with a roll of duct tape trying to super-de-hair my house.

Oh, and I'll try to get season 2 spn music swap going here soon.

Tell us something you're happy about right now.

Seeing my mom and grandma. I have not seen them in a few years. I'm excited to go have some fun in Boston & the Twin Cities with them.

Name a book that you've really disliked, and tell us why.

Besides Eclipse, I got really upset with Kelley Armstrong's series. I loved her first two, Bitten and Stolen. Then she switched narrators. Just bam, the werewolves that I loved took a backseat to some witch character I didn't really want to read about. I see that my wolves come back in later books, but I can't bring myself to weed through all the characters I could care less about.

Name a couple of songs that you'd like to share, just because.

Back to the Hotel
A fav song from my good ol wanna be gangsta dork days. I used to blast this stupid song on my system all the time. *sigh*

We Didn't Start the Fire
Another all time fav.

I wanted to share some Celtic music, but go figure-I can't upload it!

Tell us something that nobody on your friends list knows about you.

Hmm...I dunno. I'm pretty open with people. I fear spiders because I had one crawl in my ear while I was sleeping when I was younger. I was a terminally ill child that had six months to live-heh beat that Dean!

Besides writing in LJ, what are you doing right now?

Listening to a co-worker vent about all the nasty nurses upstairs (my future=nasty nurse) and I was eating my measly dinner of beef noodle soup.

I *loved* Bitten and for the longest time I thought it was a standalone book, with other books in the series set in the same universe, so I picked up other Kelley Armstrong books all out of order. Heh. I liked Haunted and Broken, and haven't finished any of the Paige books, but nothing of hers I've read has come close to Bitten, for me. I'm pretty sure I've read Stolen, though I can't seem to recall what happened now.

And duct tape could patch holes in the universe. It's amazing stuff.

I can't exactly remember what Stolen was about. I know that I loved the story of Clay and Elena and was really upset when she quit writing them. She had a really good online novella about how Clay and Elena met. I may have to pick up the book that has Elena in it and just read that. Hopefully, I won't miss much by doing that :D

I had an ant crawl into my ear and start making staticy noises last year. And no one believed me that something was wrong!

I totally believe you. Ugh! That spider still haunts me to this day. I was sleeping, felt (what I though was hair) tickle my ear. I brushed it away, then it came back so I grabbed it, smooshed it and threw it on my nightstand. It look me a few seconds to register that I had just smooshed something. So I turned on my light, saw his huge barn spider and took off running and screaming into the hallway.

Good times :D

My future is totally nasty nurse material. I'll be nice to the patients and nasty to the lazy butts that I work with :D I have to tell you that I burst out laughing at the line "although it might be fun to just go off the deep end of the bitch pool"
Yes, it would be very fun.

As for being a sick kid. I don't remember much thank god. I was just always sick and in the hospital. But, it all worked out in the end.

Leather? Ha, I'd love to have leather, but my cats loved it. I've found that microfiber works really well for us. But hair seems to stick everywhere. The walls, the windows, ugh. It's all good though.

It doesn't help that all three of my dogs have to be touching a human when we are in the living room. Just imagine 2 humans, 2 pugs and a dalmation smooshed on one couch.

I took both songs!! Thanks!

Wow. Dean is beat!!

I think that sometimes nurses have to be nasty when a patient isn't acting rationally. It's probably best to have a little of both right?

Boston is just a few hours from me!! We love visiting Boston!! It sounds like you will have fun!

Kelly Armstrong I've never read but I should add it to my TBR list. It sounds interesting.

Yeah, nurses sometimes have to be stern. Especially when the patient is yelling and calling you every bad name in the book :D

I loved the werewolves that Kelley did, but I lost it when she switched to a new character. I really loved them! (Make sure to read her online novella if you read her books-it was great)

Any good spots that we really need to hit in Boston?

Nursing does seem to take a nice mix of kick ass and saint!! You are great for the job! Tough or kind when the moment calls for it and the intelligence to know the difference. :)

Ooh Thanks for the tip with Kelley! I'll be sure to.

Boston, well for us with four kids, the Imax Theatre, the Aquaruim and the Museum of Science are always on the list!! The Museum of Science has a cool Butterfly Conservatory where you can go in and they land on you.

A few of my relatives are planning to hit the Aquarium, but my grandma doesn't know if she wants to walk another aquarium in her life LOL. I guess there is a Duck tour you can take where you are in one of those duck vehicles from ww 1 or 2. That sounded interesting.

Oh and I'd so love the butterfly thing! I have butterflies tatooed around my ankle. hee

Heh, good luck getting out of that phase. Just wait until your kids are all teens and you still dance around the house to Sir Mix A Lot..."I like big butts and I cannot lie..." *eye roll*
